Albertsons provides their specific EDI requirements through their vendor onboarding team. Important: Like Kroger, Albertsons uses UCS (Uniform Communication Standard) grocery-specific document formats. This means EDI 875 for purchase orders instead of 850, and EDI 880 for invoices instead of 810.
Get Your GS1 Identifiers
Albertsons requires GS1-compliant UPC/GTIN codes on all products and proper case and pallet labeling. Register at gs1us.org if you do not have these yet.
